Garden Renovation: Decking & Pergola
This was a big project we did in the Autumn of 2025 which ran across a few months. The job was to rip out some rotten old decking and replace it, creating a pergola structure above and an integrated summerhouse / storage space alongside. The original decking was composite so although the deck substructure was rotten, the boards themselves were fine to be reused. Similarly the fence panels were mostly ok - certain bits needed repairing, but I was generally able to reuse the bulk of them.
The clients for this project were both avid gardeners, so together we designed a functional shed / summerhouse with a workbench that could double up as a potting bench. Alongside the workbench are adjustable shelves which can be reconfigured to the needs of the space. Behind the shed is a covered area which can serve as a bike and BBQ storage area, safe from rain and kept out of view.
