Shaker Style Panelling
This project was simple bit of panelling along a 3 metre wall in a second bedroom. Together with the client, we decided to clad the wall with 6mm MDF to create a baselayer, and then fitted 6mm strips of MDF on top of this with a timber top rail. This was then all finished in Sage Green by Little Greene. The panelling strips were placed to perfectly divide the room into sections, cut in around plug sockets where necessary.
Using a backboard for the panelling creates a more authentic effect as the texture of MDF is much smoother than that of a plastered and painted wall, and everything appears more complete. The choice of colour was perfect for the room, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
